Professional Experience & Qualifications:
  • 16 years in teaching, research, and consulting in HVAC systems design and analysis.
  • Manager of metering and calibration facility at Texas A&M University’s Riverside Campus. Supervise calibration of temperature and relative humidity sensors, flow and thermal energy transducers, and electrical metering transducers. Direct staff and student support as required.
  • As Research Engineer for the Texas LoanSTAR program, was responsible for the development and implementation of calibration techniques and procedures for instrumentation used in the program. Instrumentation included: relative humidity sensors, temperature sensors, flow meters, electrical power transducers, and weather instrumentation. Performed field diagnostics and repaired or replaced malfunctioning instruments at LoanSTAR metering sites.
  • As Visiting Professor at U.T. El Paso, taught undergraduate Heat Transfer lecture and laboratory course, UG Controls, and Senior HVAC course.
  • Controls Engineer primarily responsible for operation and maintenance of a large Facility Control and Management System at the University of Texas at El Paso.
  • Staff Engineer with HVAC consulting engineering firm in El Paso, Texas. Designed MEP projects from small commercial through large industrial.
  • As Project Engineer, was responsible for mechanical systems on new Veterans Administration hospital construction projects.
  • Expertise in instrumentation, thermal system design, building energy management and controls.
