Is IC3 Right for Me?
IC3 has the sole purpose to provide an energy efficiency certificate for homes built with wood framing, conventional systems, one or two stories, and less than 20,000 sqft conditioned space.
Exotic homes are not candidates for this software.
Items and Information That You Will Need:
- A copy of the house plans (including the direction the front door faces, window area, conditioned floor area & perimeter, and roof overhangs.)
- SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) and U-factor for the windows.
- R-values for the insulation in walls and ceiling.
- SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) for the cooling system.
- Energy Factor for the water heater.
- Heating Efficiency value for the heating type.
- Roofing Material type.
